About Us
Girl Code Africa is a Non-Governmental Organization that focuses on providing technological education to girls in Ghana and West Africa. Currently, only 26% of computing jobs are held by women with a steady decline over the years.
Our Aim
Girl Code Africa’s aim is to increase the number of women graduate holders in the Computer Science and the Tech sector as well as addressing diversity of women in the workforce.

Our Objectives
Our objectives as an organization is simply to;
- Increase STEM study in West Africa.
- Educate girls in the remote areas of Africa to give them equal opportunity.
- Bridge the gap in the workforce by offering internships and mentorship programmes.
- Maintaining retention of women in the tech space.
- Increasing equality in the tech space in regards to opportunity and the pay gap.
